Congratulations to Sue Hillier (Womens Over 50) & Anne Richards (Womens Over 60) who have won their respective age groups at the 2017 World Masters Games recently held in Auckland, New Zealand.

Sue defeated Angelique Clifton Parks (South Africa) in the final of the Womens Over 50 event in a hard fought four games (19/17, 8/11, 12/10, 11/8).

Anne had a comprehensive 3/0 win (11/2, 11/8, 11/3) against fellow Australian Sarah Wilson to secure victory in the Womens Over 60 event.

Western Australia also had another finalist with Sue Volzke making the Womens Over 65 final.  Unfortunately on this occasion Sue had to settle for runner up, as she went down to Canadian Laura Ramsay 3/0 (11/3, 11/5, 11/6).
