The WA kids gave absolutely everything they had yesterday as the individuals component of the Australian Junior Championships came to an end.

  • WA’s prowess in the under 19 boys division was solidified with Oscar Curtis sailing through the three days in straight sets, defeating QLD’s Luke Eyles in the GF.  Dylan Classen and Greg Chan had everyone at the edge of their seats in their fight for 3rd/4th, with Dylan coming out on top 11-9 in the fifth.
  • Erin Classen just missed out on the top under 19 girls’ spot being defeated by QLD’s Madison Lyon in three.
  • Daniel Marsh also cruised through in straight sets, taking out NSW’s William Slade for the top under 17 boys’ spot.  Daniel came in as an underrated player but carved everyone up.
  • Hashing it out for the 3rd/4th spot in the under 15 boys, Aiden Finlay-Mulligan took a mere 14 minutes to take down VIC’s Connor Haberecht in three.
  • Teagan Scott also took only 12 minutes to beat QLD’s Abbey Boswell for 3rd place.
