WA SQUASH

Junior Camps and Clinics

Squash WA run an annual Tournament Tour, where groups of juniors are escorted to a selection of country tournaments by two carers.  The carers transport the juniors to and from the tournament, stay with them in shared accommodation, provide all meals, and ensure each junior is supported and coached by their peers during the event.

Tournaments included are set at the beginning of each year and are published on the Squash WA website accordingly.  The 2024 stops are as follows:

  • South West Open 15-17 March (Bunbury)
  • Mandurah Open 20-21 April
  • Geraldton Open 3-5 May
  • Great Southern Wheatbelt TEAMS tournament 15-17 November (Narrogin).

.

Places are offered to juniors on a ‘first in, best dressed’ basis, with preference given to those from country Clubs affiliated with Squash WA.  The fee for each tournament will vary depending on the location and number of juniors participating.

.

Purpose

  • Provides additional opportunities for juniors from both metro and country Clubs to compete in additional tournaments, gaining more experience and confidence.
  • Removes the requirement for parents to take time off work, organise travel, meals, etc.
  • Promotes friendship and camaraderie among our junior players and their respective Clubs.
