WA Squash is introducing a new social media initiative called โClub of the Monthโ.ย Each month a different Club will be profiled, alternating between Metro and Country.
The purposes of the initiative are to:
- Promote awareness of facilities
- Increase facility usage
- Recognise people in the squash community that go above and beyond
- Give publicity to sponsors/supporters
- โPut faces to namesโ
- Promote pride in the Clubs people belong to
To kick things off we’ve got Mandurah Squash Club!

Mandurah Squash Club is based out of the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre, 303 Pinjarra Road, Mandurah.

We spoke to Club President Brad Hibbs about what and who makes the Club.

Each year the Club run three major events, the Mandurah Open, Mandurah 1000 (previously the Mandurah 600) junior tournament (click on the flyer below to be taken to SportyHQ where you can register your child), and their annual Club Champs.
They have a busy weekly schedule despite only having three courts (which are some of the best in Perth might we add):
Junior coaching on Mondays after school (check out their spiffy new flyer!)
In-house pennant competition on Tuesday evenings
Social on Thursday evenings
Training on Saturdays

We asked Brad who the MVPs are at the Club, to which he proudly responded, “there are just too many to list!”

New junior and senior members of all skill levels are welcome at Mandurah Squash Club (which also happens to be the reigning Country Week champions!) so if you or someone you know would like to get involved, simply call Brad on 0490 067 815 or email mandurahsquash@gmail.com.
