Western Australian Juniors Win Three Titles at A.J.O

Western Australian players have produced some outstanding performances at the Australian Junior Open Championships conducted in Darwin from the 11 – 15 of January to come away with the State’s best ever result at an Australian Junior Championship event. Our players obtained three Championship wins, three Runner-Up awards and four third placings.

Western Australian players produced two clean sweeps filling the top three finishing positions in the Under 17 Girls and Under 13 Boys events.

Kiara Rogers defeated Olivia Lindsey in the Under 17’s Girls with Jade Woods finishing third. Our dominance of the event was further evidenced with Pascale Louka finishing 5th, Georgia Charles 11th, Isabella Diver 12th and Jacqueline Gray 14th.

Oscar Curtis took out the Under 13 Boys event defeating Dylan Classen with Oscar Lindsey third.

Erin Classen produced a dominant performance defeating the top seeded Natalie Sayes from New Zealand to win the Under 13 Girls title.

Western Australia was also prominent in the Under 15 Boys with Greg Chan finishing Runner-Up and Remi Young taking out the third placing.

Isabella French also made the podium with a third placing in the Under 15 Girls event.
